We are looking for a Security Advisor to support and strengthen our global security and resilience capability within Travel Security and Emergency Preparedness. The role provides expert advice and operational support within travel security, emergency preparedness, and crisis management, ensuring duty of care for our employees and effective response to incidents affecting people, operations, and assets. You will contribute directly to how we assess, prevent, and respond to risk in a global operational context, often under time pressure and with incomplete information. The position operates in close collaboration with the Security function and key stakeholders across the organization, contributing with subject matter expertise rather than line responsibility. Key responsibilities include: Travel Security (Advisory and Operational Support) - Provide risk-based advice on travel security and mitigation measures, monitor global developments and assess potential impact on employees and operations, support travel risk assessments and approval processes, coordinate with external providers and deliver briefings to travelers and project teams, act as a trusted advisor in situations where risk assessments have direct operational consequences. Emergency Preparedness and Crisis Support - Develop, maintain, and continuously improve emergency and crisis management plans, support the Emergency Response Team during incidents and crisis situations, contribute to exercises, simulations, and post-incident reviews, support crisis communication and escalation processes, contribute actively during incidents by supporting structured decision-making under pressure. Coordination and Governance - Ensure alignment with security strategy, policies, and duty of care requirements, collaborate with HR, HSE, Insurance, and business units on integrated risk management, prepare assessments and briefings to support decision-making, contribute to security awareness and training initiatives across the organization, translate complex risk scenarios into clear and actionable recommendations. Qualifications and experience include relevant education or equivalent experience in security, risk, emergency preparedness, or crisis management, practical experience in travel security and or incident and crisis response, demonstrated ability to apply risk judgement in operational contexts, strong communication skills in English and experience working with external providers is a plus. Personal attributes include being trustworthy, discreet, and professional, analytical, structured, and solution-oriented, calm and reliable in high-pressure situations, strong collaboration skills and stakeholder awareness, comfortable working in an advisory role across organizational boundaries, able to build credibility and influence decisions without formal authority.
