As Chief Policy, Legal and Government Relations Officer, I oversee compliance, government relationships, strategic partnerships, impact initiatives and stakeholder engagement at Exolaunch – a global leader in launch mission management, integration, and deployment services for small satellites.

In my role, I cover a wide range that includes: developing internal legal and policy architectures; representing the interests of the company and space industry to drive regulatory change; identifying partnership opportunities; relationship-building with key stakeholders.

I am also a company liaison to a number of industry- and policy-related associations that Exolaunch involved in, including the Young European Enterprises Syndicate for Space (YEESS), BDI's NewSpace Initiative, European Space Policy Institute (ESPI) and direct interface to the European Space Agency (ESA), European Commission (EC), European Innovation Council (EIC), Space Agency of the German Aerospace Center (DLR), and United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs (UNOOSA).

In companies focusing on deep tech engineering, the value of the high-caliber legal, policy, and government relations role is often underestimated, as this function does not generate immediate tangible benefits but rather constitutes a worthy long-term investment.

Due to this misjudgment, many companies decide to either outsource these tasks to firms not directly affiliated with the company and are less attuned to the company’s best interests, or exclude this role from the organisation altogether. In doing so, companies miss out on unique opportunities and advantages that solely result from a dedicated, in-house expert who drives legislative strategy, policy, and ultimately, lasting change.

My goal is to continue growing my expertise, being the best in what I do, and creating an indelible impact on the space industry and in society by promoting ethics, sustainability, and responsibility. Additionally, as a strong advocate for a gender balance, inclusiveness, and equality, I am deeply committed to strengthening female representation, leadership, and empowerment in the industry.
