Can you describe your role within your organization?

That’s a great question — and honestly, not an easy one to answer! Being part of a small and fast-growing company like Impulso.Space means I often have my hands in many activities.

Officially, I lead Sales and Marketing as our Chief Commercial Officer, which means I’m responsible for developing our commercial strategy, building partnerships, and supporting customers throughout their launch journey. But my role goes far beyond that. Thanks to my aerospace background, I also get involved in technical aspects like CAD simulations, mission planning, and supporting the team with system-level decisions when needed.

At the same time, I’ve developed a whole new set of skills in Marketing and Communication — from building our brand identity and managing multi-channel content strategies, to organizing our presence at international events and creating storytelling that connects with the space community.

It's a dynamic role that keeps me on my toes, and I love the mix of technical depth and human connection that comes with it.

How did you get in contact with the field of space and your discipline?

Space has always been part of my life — quite literally. I was born in Paris because of my father's job in the space sector, and we later moved to Italy, again following his career in the industry. Growing up in that environment, I was naturally drawn to anything that didn’t involve keeping my feet on the ground.

At different points, I dreamed of becoming a military pilot, then a race engineer in Formula 1, but eventually, the space industry called me. After experiencing my first launch in person, I knew there was no turning back. From that moment on, I couldn’t imagine doing anything else.

And while I may not have become a pilot, I now take over 20 flights a year for work; so in a way, I’m still flying toward my dreams, just from a different runway.

Can you tell us more about how your job requires multidisciplinary skills?

Working in the space industry — especially within a small and fast-paced company — naturally demands a multidisciplinary mindset. My role requires me to move seamlessly between strategic planning, customer engagement, and project coordination. On any given day, I collaborate with engineers, mission managers, marketing specialists, and customers alike.

Whether it's understanding the technical constraints of a launch window, navigating international regulations, or crafting messaging tailored to diverse markets, I’m constantly drawing on a broad and varied skill set. It’s not just about wearing many hats — it’s about connecting the dots, solving challenges, and keeping things moving. That’s what makes the job both dynamic and deeply rewarding.
