Can you describe what you do?
I started my own company to offer on-demand and "as needed" marketing services to small aerospace companies. My work includes customized solutions from marketing materials, media work, content, graphic design, event management, and existing team support. In previous roles I had the opportunity to work on all kinds of projects along with seeing how many companies do not have this type of support. Not all companies need a full time marketing employee due to either limited work available or budget restraints. Marketing services should be affordable and easily obtainable by a trusted professionally who specializes in the aerospace industry.
What is the most fun in your job?
Events! Working space events is my favorite thing I get to do. I like the organizing and planning of a show and the added value of meetings, swag, displays, branding and sponsorships. Attending the show is where the real work comes in. It is a blast to network and reconnect with old friends but it is also busy with really long days and a lot of meetings. The face to face really builds great relationships and more business opportunities. All while still maintain other work unrelated to event tasks.
How did you end up in space with your study/work background?
I grew up in aerospace. My dad owns his own company as a suborbital flight provider so I was always around rocket launches, space events, and even seeing my dad on tv at times. As I got older I became interested in the space industry for myself and was given opportunities within communications work. After I graduated college I started another opportunity in marketing and from there I moved even further into the aerospace industry! Now having my own company providing marketing and communication services to others, I am constantly building my network and meeting so many others just like myself!
