How did you end up in space with your study/work background?
I started my career in the space sector at the end of my Master study programme at the German Aerospace Center (DLR). I had a specific interest in 2 out of the 6 research topics at DLR - space and security research. Prior to my secondment to ESPI, I worked in the International Relations Department of DLR.
Can you describe your role within your organization?
At the European Space Policy Institute (ESPI), I am in charge of the space sector watch activities, which includes the monthly ESPI Insights. Furthermore, as DLR-seconded Research Fellow, I am striving to intensify the relations of ESPI with the DLR and other German space and policy stakeholders.
What is the most fun in your job?
The work on the space sector watch activities enables me to be up-to-date with regards to news and current trends in the space sector. Moreover, the work at ESPI is extremely interesting, enriching, diversified and opens a variety of possibilities to engage in projects and activities on various space-related topics.
