How did you end up in space with your study/work background?

I learnt about space law through the Manfred Lachs Space Law Moot Competition. Having taken part myself and then coaching the winning team in 2018, I was inspired to delve further into the field and realised it was both new and exciting. Though unconventional, what began as a serendipitous discovery soon aligned with a deeper inherent desire to work in a rapidly evolving, international career.

What is the most fun in your job?

The most fun aspect of my job is all the amazing friends I have met in the most diverse places. It’s great to work with like-minded, adventurous people and to do so in different capacities, venues and events is a big plus. I’m always in awe of how space connects us towards a shared goal.

Can you tell us more about your day to day activities?

My work involves articulating the rights and responsibilities of different actors in space and its adjacent sectors. Space does not operate in a legal vacuum, instead it has a prescriptive set of values, norms and rules to ensure sustainability. Essentially, it’s a fair bit of reading, writing and communicating legal frameworks to those interested in operating in space.
