Can you describe what you do?

At Kepler, I am involved in an array of dynamic marketing initiatives. From crafting compelling ad campaigns to orchestrating engaging social media content, from optimizing search engine strategies to assisting with impactful rebranding endeavours, my role is multifaceted. At its core, I strive to elevate our brand presence and facilitate connections between our audience and the sales team. Beyond these tasks, I juggle other responsibilities such as trade show preparations, website maintenance, and swag ordering.

I also have a freelance position at Open Lunar, where I am in charge of the development, execution, and analysis of primarily social media content. Additionally, I explore alternative communication avenues to effectively disseminate our research and projects.

In a nutshell for both roles, I leverage my marketing expertise to navigate the dynamic landscape of space technology. To me, marketing in the space industry means taking complex ideas and breaking it down via marketing into easily digestible content, in order to get both prospective clients and the broader audience to engage with our company's mission and offerings.

What is the most fun in your job?

It's space - what's not to love about it? Working on marketing and communications for space-related products and services blows my mind every day. I have the privilege of encountering remarkable innovations, collaborating with intelligent individuals, and craft compelling campaigns. It's an exhilarating journey, and I couldn't ask for a more inspiring environment to be a part of.

What advice would you give fellow non-tech space enthusiasts if they want to pursue a job in space?

Don't be afraid to reach out! I was intimidated when I first started out in the space industry, but quickly learned that there is a wealth of knowledge and experiences people are so willing to share. Whether it's technical experts generously offering insights into the intricacies of engineering or fellow non-technical space enthusiasts fostering connections and building community, there's a vibe of mutual support that's pretty awesome to be a part of.
