Can you tell us more about your day to day activities?
Before going into my current role, I had a blast being an analyst and consultant for many projects and for several space markets, my daily job is to analyze the market and technologies current and emerging simultaneously and try to evaluate ways it could have a positive impact on the market and which part of the value chain is going to be affected. There is a lot happening in the market at one time, just like when you go a bazar or a mall to shop. So many people with so many objectives, I have to sift through the noise to be able to provide pathways with tangible impacts and outcomes. I often read a lot of news pieces, journals on technologies, evaluate the status of our data which is at the core of my work, I often have lots of meetings for the purpose of learning about challenges, opportunities, gaps from all aspects *technology, market, partnerships, government/military relationships etc.*
What is it like to put your expertise to work in the space sector?
Having had the opportunity to be an engineer before jumping into this I am always full of gratitude that my technical background is still critical to this day, I get to present and share challenging views, realistic roadmaps, and enable entrepreneurs and strategist to think out of the box when considering the future opportunities for their businesses .
What ambitions do you have for your space career?
My goal is to make the space industry synonymous with equitable future for all, the days of space industry where government owned and operated majority of activities have reduced through the "new space" age, however a challenge remains that petabytes of data brought down to the earth still needs to be used in a way that it makes our lives "yours and mine" better. A key part of this will be telecommunications which has already connected the better part of the world, but still has ~2.8 billion people that don't have access to the same resources. We need to enable this!
